Kevin Berson, President

Kevin founded Kinected Advisors in 2014 with the objective of leveraging my 25+ years’ experience in Mergers and Acquisitions and Big Six Consulting to help entrepreneurs plan for and ultimately exit their businesses for maximum value and minimal stress.

Kevin’s vision for Kinected is to develop long-term, trusted client relationships with business owners to help them secure their legacies and transition into early retirement on their terms.

Kevin previously spent 17 years at global firms Technicolor and Arthur Andersen, where he led strategic initiatives including: Co-founding Creative District, the ‘LinkedIn for Creatives’; leading M&A due diligence on three transactions collectively valued at $500M and leading technology implementations for manufacturing and distribution-focused clients.

Kevin received his BA from UCLA and his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at USC.

Kevin is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Certified M&A Professional (CM&AP), Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI), Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), a Certified Business Broker (CBB), and is a licensed Broker through the California Bureau of Real Estate.

Kevin was recently honored by his alma mater, UCLA, as one of the top 100 Bruin-founded companies and has been featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal as an Investment Banking Leader of Influence for 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Kevin frequently speaks about various M&A-related topics including exit planning, maximizing value ahead of sale, how to run a competitive M&A process, business valuation, and ways that professional buyers take advantage of first-time sellers. Jim Twerdahl, M&A Advisor

Jim Twerdahl has 20+ years’ experience providing management consulting and investment banking services.  Jim previously served as President of Marantz Company, Inc. JBL Incorporated (James B. Lansing Sound Co.), and Senior V.P. & Director, Harman International Industries, Inc.

 Jim’s specialties include: Mergers and Acquisitions, Capital Raising, Due Diligence, Strategic Planning, Marketing and Distribution Planning, International Sourcing and Distribution.

 Jim has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has been a lecturer in the graduate business schools at USC, UCLA, and Northwestern and Loyola Marymount University.

Sarah Spector, Finance Advisor

Sarah Spector, CPA is an accomplished senior executive with more than 25 years of success across the healthcare, internet, e-commerce, staffing, distribution, publishing, and entertainment industries. Leveraging extensive experience as a corporate controller restructuring accounting departments, implementing ERP and other financial systems, and leading M&A transactions and integrations, she is a valuable resource for any organization in need of accounting and finance assistance or encountering growth or change management.

 Sarah has expertise across the following functions: financial accounting, financial management, implementing internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, tax and business compliance, technology management, business intelligence, system implementations and data conversion, operations, organizational leadership, mentoring, budgeting, financial modeling, and due diligence. 

 Ms. Spector has held leadership positions with ASGN Incorporated (NYSE: ASGN), Leaf Group (NYSE: LEAF), LEARN Behavioral, Premier Healthcare Services, Autism Learning Partners, Alfred Music, and Ticketmaster.  Sarah earned a BSBA in Accounting from The University of Arizona and is a licensed CPA in the State of California.  Ms. Spector is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs.  In 2021 Ms. Spector was featured in the Top 100 People in Finance magazine.

Joe Cane, Corporate Attorney

Joe Cane is a JD/MBA with more than 25 years’ experience representing clients in complex business and financial transactions, including, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, technology and new media transactions, corporate formation and governance matters and executive compensation. In addition to his law practice, Joe previously held senior business and legal roles at Sony Connect, a division of Sony Corporation, and served as general counsel at Digital Entertainment Corporation of America. Prior to his corporate roles, Joe worked for several top tier national law firms. Joe received his BA from Cornell University in Applied Economics and Business Management, his JD from Loyola Law School and his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at USC.

Robert Sniderman, HR Advisor

Robert Sniderman, Ph.D., SPHR, SHRM-SCP. is President of HRfocus, providing Consultative Services at the Intersection of Business and Human Resources, Organizational / Business/Human Resource consulting services.

 Dr. Sniderman is known as an executive and owner’s coach, facilitator of business groups, designer of recruitment/selection/retention programs, training and development, leadership, HR Compliance.

 Dr. Sniderman also provides expert witness services and workplace investigation regarding labor and employment lawsuits and complaints. Dr. Sniderman also has a specialty in the field of Disability in the Workplace both consulting with Employers and as an expert witness.  Dr. Sniderman earned his Doctorate degree in Organizational Development and has been providing services to the business and human resources community since 1976. He is a long-standing member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Amy Johnson, Advisor

Amy Johnson graduated from Pepperdine University with a BS in Business Administration. She worked for 12 years at Arthur Andersen in Los Angeles and specialized in IT Strategies, ERP Implementations, and Change Management. She has consumer products, retail, high tech, and entertainment industry experience.  Amy currently serves as an Executive in Residence at Pepperdine University and teaches Service Leadership and provides career guidance for business majors.

Brenda Morris, Advisor

Brenda Morris is an operationally focused board member, consultant, coach and executive, with extensive experience as a CFO/COO in public and private companies including entrepreneurial start-ups, high-growth and mature organizations.
