Led Paramount’s Direct-to-Consumer Initiative

When Paramount Pictures piloted a direct-to-consumer strategy to develop a new brand identity and forge direct relationships with consumers, Ajay was tapped to lead the entire effort from strategy to through execution.


  • Conducted focus groups with customers and retail partners (iTunes, Amazon, Vudu etc.) to determine user needs, desired experience, perceptions of studio-branded storefront as well as potential sales.
  • Developed business plan & financial projections and presented to Sr. Management


  • Paramount became the first studio to offer digital versions of its UltraViolet-based movies at ParamountMovies.com
  • Platform launched with 60 new-release titles on SD, HD, VOD, EST, ioS and Android formats and quickly ramped up 250 titles within four weeks
